This kind of shower is equipped with restrictor so it flow the water in low pressure. Having that said, it is only use about less than a half amount of water when it is compared with the standard one. However, this shower also sacrifices some things too. What are they? Let’s check it out bellow.

     Shower head flow restrictors

I have two shower heads I am trying to figure out how to remove the flow restrictors.

    Moen XL shower head:

There is a green thing inside but it does not look like the head can be disassembled so how do I get it out?

Danze 6" Lamp Style shower head:

I was able to disassemble this one but there is a piece of solid plastic white in color inside the nut with a very small hole. I am trying to get that plastic piece out as it looks like a flow restrictor but I am not having any luck.

    Thanks in advance.

For example, the average person uses about ten gallons (approximately 38 liters) of water for each minute he or she showers. The installation of a shower head flow restrictor can cut this figure in half, allowing users to save on water expenses and costs in addition to promoting green living. For the most part, high quality restrictors do not decrease the overall quality of the shower and are therefore virtually unnoticeable.
